Wednesday date night is a staple in our life. This week, our intentions...have a great time and not spend a lot of money. A very original concept I know, but it was amazing at how difficult it was - and how long it took - to research all of our wonderful Seacoast restaurants and bars for their happy hour, food and event specials.
After two hours of intense Google searching, I finally devised our 'list'. We were going to go to establishment X until 6pm for 50% off drinks. Then we would move onto establishment Y before 8pm for a 2 for 1 dinner special, and then finish the night with a 'ladies night free entry' club for some music. Total saved… $72. I am not joking - $72 bucks. Not bad if you ask me.
During this lovely evening we decided there was a business venture to be made. We could consolidate all of this research, the discounts and coupons, the directions and even the t-shirts and hats, into one website. And if we tried hard enough - spent a lot of time and effort - we could even make this all available on our phone, not just on our computer. What a great idea!
What was even better is that Data Gimlet, Inc. already had everything made just for us. By selecting one of their "out of the box" templates for our Seacoast territory, we had this site up and running in days - not months. Everything from the restaurant and bar matrix you see on the homepage (what they call the "Gimlet") to the advertising engine, promotions, gallery, and merchandise to personalizing it with our logo and corporate colors, it was all included and ready to go. Hosting, documentation and support. They have everyting. Everything is ready to go online, and on our phones, to keep you up to date and mobile!
In short: we could not be happier. We live in the best part of the country and have the best website around. We can eat, drink and be merry with some of the best fare in the world.
